Airlink Launches Cape Town–Lanseria Flights

Airlink to Launch Daily Cape Town - Lanseria Flights

06 October 2026, Johannesburg - Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier, independent and privately owned regional airline, will launch twice-daily flights between Cape Town and Lanseria International Airport from 04 December 2026.

The new service will provide a convenient point-to-point connection for people travelling to and from Johannesburg who want to avoid the congestion of OR Tambo International Airport. Lanseria, which is a world-class modern facility, is ideally located to serve communities and businesses on the western side of Gauteng and in the North West province.

“Travel options on this route have been limited, and our intention is to give passengers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative for travelling between the two regions, while also complementing our existing services to O.R. Tambo,” said Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht.

This new route will also be Airlink's first scheduled domestic service to Lanseria. It will be operated by an Embraer E190 aircraft, which accommodates 98 passengers, all seated at window and aisle seats – there are no middle seats on Airlink flights.

Effective 04 December 2026, Airlink flights between Cape Town (CPT) and Lanseria (HLA) will operate on these days and at these times:

Flight No Weekday Aircraft Dep Time Arr Time
4Z 962 Mon-Sun E190 CPT 09h20 HLA 11h35
4Z 963 Mon-Sun E190 HLA 13h00 CPT 15h25
4Z 965 Mon-Sun E190 HLA 09h10 CPT 11h35
4Z 966 Mon-Sun E190 CPT 13h30 HLA 15h45

Airlink will increase these frequencies to four daily return flights with effect from 22 March 2027. An updated schedule will be published closer to the date.

To plan, book and manage Airlink journeys, customers should visit flyairlink.com, download the FlyAirlink smartphone app, or contact their travel agent.
