Departing South Africa
Travelling domestically within South Africa does not require a PCR. Travellers departing South Africa to a regional destination are required to confirm the regulations with the relevant authorities prior to departure.

Inbound Travelers to South Africa
Travellers including South Africans, must hold a negative PCR test certificate taken within 72 hours of their departure time or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of their departure time in the event they do not have a vaccination certificate. The PCR test certificate is valid for the duration of the traveller’s inbound journey and takes into consideration long stopovers at transit points and is for a single entry only. (Every time a traveller departs for South Africa, a new test is required prior to departure.) Foreign travelers are required to have Covid-19 insurance for travel to South Africa, to cover any quarantine costs if applicable.
