Purpose

To ensure professional handling of passengers and their baggage on and off flights and to assist with general passenger enquiries.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  1. The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  2. Must be studying toward a Travel and Tourism Diploma or similar qualification
  3. Must have good communication skills and customer care.
  4. Must be computer literate on Microsoft Excel and Word.
  5. Willing to work shifts which include weekends and public holidays.
  6. Must have reliable transport.
  7. Will attend training as and when required to do so.

Accountabilities

  1. To ensure that SA Airlink customers receive excellent service.
  2. The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications;.
  3. Responsible for the OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
  4. Accountable for aviation safety and security in their area of responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with meet and greet of passengers on arriving flights and assisting passengers to boarding gates.
  2. Dealing with passenger enquiries.
  3. Assisting passengers with delays and luggage.
  4. Assist passengers in wheelchairs.
  5. Assisting passengers who left items on board aircrafts.
  6. Assist passengers with missing baggage.
  7. Taking documents to gates.
  8. Assist special request passengers such as:
    - Assist unaccompanied passengers (children between the ages of 2 years and 12 years.
    - Assist Young Passengers (YPs children between the ages 12 and 16 years).
    - Assist mothers with babies and young children.
    - Assist passengers with connecting flights.
    - Assist elderly passengers.
  9. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
  10. Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.

DIVISION:TECHNICAL SUPPORT DEPARTMENT – AMO - LINE & BASE MAINTENANCE
LOCATION: OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, JONES ROAD,
SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS TECHNICAL GATE, HANGAR 2.

Purpose

Maintain a fleet of modern turbine powered aircraft, in all discipline whilst delivering scheduled tasks and paper trail within the outstations maintenance department of the company

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  1. Completed recognised Apprenticeship and holds a relevant trade certificate.
  2. May hold a valid W-Electrical, Avionic and and/or X-Compass swing SACAA license and appropriate company approval.
  3. Good Aircraft Maintenance experience.
  4. CATS & CARS and Human Factors courses.
  5. Instruments, Electrician and Avionic CAT X courses are a must.
  6. 3-5 years aircraft maintenance experience of any type is advantageous, with regional airliner experience on company or similar aircraft types being of greatest benefit.
  7. Experience on the fleet would be an advantage.
  8. Will attend training as and when instructed to do so.

Accountabilities

  1. Accountable for the correct application of the knowledge and competence applied to all work done within scope of certificate of authority as well as ensuring all work is done only within the scope of certificate of authority.
  2. Responsible to deliver scheduled tasks and paper trail.
  3. Must comply with the Company’s Operational Procedures.
  4. Ensure that all paperwork is up to date and correct according to standard operating procedures.
  5. The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications.
  6. Responsible for the OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
  7. Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

  1. All maintenance must be carried out in accordance with all of the relevant instructions, regulations and procedures that have been issued by the company and the Commissioner of Civil Aviation.
  2. Working independently on heavy maintenance, snags or inspections.
  3. Responsible for applying the knowledge and competence within Scope of Certificate of Authority.
  4. Responsible for adhering to maintenance schedules and procedures.
  5. All maintenance is done in accordance with the company procedures.
  6. All tools and equipment, including personal tools are clearly marked and listed in the tool and equipment list.
  7. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
  8. Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.

Purpose

Responsible for the on-going maintenance of aircraft interiors.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  1. The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 4 years direct aircraft working experience.
  3. Must have a Trade Certificate.
  4. Safety Equipment Certificate would be advantageous.
  5. Will attend training as and when required to do so.

Accountabilities

  1. Ensuring that all the seats trimmings and covers are kept in a serviceable condition.
  2. The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications;
  3. Responsible for the OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
  4. Accountable for aviation safety and security in their area of responsibility and accountability

Responsibilities

  1. On-going maintenance of the interiors of the aircraft.
  2. Carry out the inspection requirements that are needed on the seats and soft furnishings when an aircraft is on major inspection.
  3. The making up and fitting of new carpets, curtains, magazine pockets, pilots seats covers, etc.
  4. Manufacture and replacement of cargo nets.
  5. Maintenance of aircraft covers and blankets
  6. Safety equipment of aircraft and the servicing of it.
  7. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
  8. Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.
