Requirements for Flight Attendant Applicants

- A valid CAA Flight Attendant License will be advantageous.

Flight Attendant Application

PURPOSE
To create a timeous, safe, efficient and smooth-running service for the transportation of cargo, catering, crew and ground staff on the Apron and Airport. Will also perform any other duties which the Regional Manager - Cargo may deem necessary from time-to-time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license Code 10 (or equivalent) plus PDP.
- Must be able to lift 50 kg`s unassisted.
- Must be numerically literate.
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Will attend training as and when required to do so.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for correct and timeous delivery of cargo/catering/crew and ground staff to and from aircraft.
- May be required to perform Transfers between flights and warehouse(s).
- The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications;
- Responsible for OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
- Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to inter-alia aircraft operations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and Unload cargo, and company mail.
- Assist with flight catering.
- Assist with Crew and Ground staff transport.
- Assist with transfer of cargo between flights and warehouse(s).
- Ensure 100% radio availability and responsiveness.
- Ensure that all procedures around Cargo manifesting and loading as described in the Cargo Procedures Manual (CGO Vol A) is adhered to.
- Ensure transport of Airlink staff are recorded in a Transport Log.
- Ensure Vehicle checklist is completed at time of vehicle acceptance.
- Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.

- Ensure that cargo is checked in and/or out of the warehouse through the Cargo Link system for track and trace purposes.
- Ensure that all cargo is manifested for outgoing flights, and pre-alerts sent to receiving branch.
- Assist on the ramp and/or in respect of catering, if needed, in an efficient and effective manner.
- Willing and able to assist with Outstation Relief Programme
