Following the successful introduction of its double daily jet service to Pietermaritzburg in February this year, Airlink is pleased to announce that it will from 23 May be further enhancing its flight schedule with the addition of a 3rd jet service thereby providing travellers using the Pietermaritzburg gateway with more capacity, comfort and convenient flight options.
Airlink currently offers four return flights per day to Pietermaritzburg, two of which are operated by the Avro Regional jet aircraft type.
From Monday 23 May 2011 the mid afternoon flight will also be operated by the jet, departing JNB at 15h10 arriving in Pietermartizburg at 16h10 with the return flight departing Pietermartizburg at 16h40 arriving JNB at 17h40.
“The response to our early morning jet flights departing JNB at 06h00 arriving in Pietermartizburg at 07h00 and departing Pietermartizburg 07h30 arriving JNB at 08h30, and especially our afternoon jet flight which departs JNB at 17h00 arriving Pietermaritzburg at 18h00 and returning from Pietermartizburg at 18h30 arriving JNB at 19h30 has been extremely positive.
With more and more travellers experiencing and enjoying the benefits of Pietermaritzburg Airport, gateway to the Midlands and Kwa-Zulu Natal, the additional afternoon jet flight was a natural evolution of our service” said Karin Murray Airlink’s Marketing and Sales Manager. “ Not only has the jet service been able to deliver additional comfort and convenience, with the benefits of the jet’s capacity and operating efficiency we have also been able to offer the affordable fares which the Pietermaritzburg community was looking for” she added.
For travellers looking to experience the benefits of the Pietermaritzburg gateway for themselves, fares from Pietermartizburg start from R450.00 one way all inclusive T & C’s obviously apply.
